Heather Nelson, Founder and Principal

Heather loves fundraising, which is why she’s been working with charities, volunteers, and donors for more than 20 years.   Over the course of her career, she’s perfected the art of building the bus as she’s driving it and knows how to support charities develop their corporate partner programs as they go, realizing fundraising results while creating the infrastructure to support its growth.

As Director of Development at Food Banks Canada, Heather joined the organization just as it was starting to fundraise and launched their corporate partner program.  What started with a memo and some internal champions grew to be a $7M program.   

Heather understands the connection between fundraising and marketing and how to unlock the potential for win-win relationships.   Tapping into her experience building strategy and recognition programs from the ground up, she applies best practices in corporate fundraising, sponsorships and cause marketing in her consulting work with charities every day.

Cristina is passionate about helping charities accomplish their missions.  Drawing from 15+ years working in the not-for-profit sector, Cristina’s work with BridgeRaise focuses on identifying exciting opportunities for corporate support and helping clients build the internal capacity for them to soar – one step at a time!  With experience cultivating corporate partnerships, employee engagement initiatives and managing programs with national and federated organizations, she truly gets the importance of communication and connection with donors and internal stakeholders. Cristina’s happy place is jumping in and rolling up her sleeves to help reveal fantastic opportunities for corporate support and building the tools and templates to support them!
